ABOUT
ABOUT ME:I grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. Creativity has always been a way for me to learn and help others. I attended Winthrop University and earned a B.F.A. in Interior Design in August 2011. Being a member of Winthrop's Interior Design Organization (IDO) has greatly enriched my learning experience. I have completed an internship in commercial and residential design. My future goals are to become LEED Accredited and NCIDQ Certificated. Interior design is good way to bring concepts and function together through movement. One of my favorite parts of interior design is space planning. I enjoy fitting the rooms together like a puzzle, to see what looks and works the best. The function of the space determines how the space will be divided. During my time at Winthrop University I have gained knowledge from my project experiences in commercial and residential design. I have worked with office spaces, retail spaces, restaurants, homes, and apartments. Through these projects I have gained knowledge in space planning, functions, materials, material specifications, and project boards. This will give me the ability to work well in all aspects of design. I received honorable mention in the 2009 ASID Otto Zenke Design Competition. I have knowledge in: AutoCAD Architecture, Contracting Documents, Codes and Standards, Residential and Commercial Design, Millwork, and Textiles. These skills will allow me to be a valuable and contributing design consultant at your store.
